Study of a Leaf
This post is about a leaf. A leaf that plucked itself from its summer hold to dance directly in front of my path on the cool autumn air, as if to say “Hey, look at me. I’m different from the others.” And so it was. I was undeniably drawn to this little attention seeking leaf, so I crouched down and picked it up and carried it home with me. As I did, I studied its colours; my eyes picked up shades of crimson red, deep maroon, vibrant orange, yellow ochre, sandy yellow, burnt umber, sepia, henna, moss green, lime green, cream and beige… If you count wealth in colour, you’ll find fall is a rich season my friends. I encourage you all to go outside, meet a leaf, and share the wealth!
